We are a Border Morris side based in the village of Alvechurch, Worcestershire who have been happily bouncing about since December 2008.
As well as maintaining a long standing tradition, we get together to dance, play music and to have fun!
Dancing is a fantastic way of improving fitness levels, reducing stress and keeping the mind active - learning new moves and working as part of a team can be really satisfying.
We’re a women’s dance side with mixed gender musicians. Please meet our Officers
Pam Our Squire (The Boss) |
Jingles She who teaches us and is in charge of shouting |
Sue Deputy Squire |
Mia Treasurer |
Leebags the Bag |
We go to various festivals throughout the season and dance out at local events and venues - see our socials for videos, pictures and latest news.

Every February we continue the tradition of the annual Wassail with dancing, processing through the streets of Alvechurch, song, loud bangs, giving and consuming cider and hanging toast in a tree to ensure a good apple harvest.
We meet for practice on Wednesday evenings in the Baptist Church Hall, 29 Red Lion Street, Alvechurch B48 7LG from 20:00 until 22:00 - except during August when we take a well-earned break.
If you want find out more about who we are and what we do, send us an email to aelfgythe@hotmail.co.uk
